These heavy duty split rings are composed of 1mm 316 stainless steel wire. This is NOT the more common 304 stainless steel split rings that you would encounter on 95% of the typical hardware used in water sports. We use this 316 caliber extensively for all split ring requirements in our dive shop. The finish on these rings is of high quality, also suitable for key rings, leashes, and other areas where you need to maintain a superior semi-polished stainless steel surface appearance.
