Description

If you have nuts, bolts, and screws that seem to work their way loose even when torqued to the recommended spec, you're in need of threadlocker. Park Tool's Threadlocker locks threaded assemblies and prevents them from loosening. Offered in two strengths, Red is the high strength version and comparable to Loctite 262/263. It's best for bolts that see high loads and are not disassembled very often, such as suspension pivot bolts. Blue is a medium compound and comparable to Loctite 242/243. It's suited for bolts that need securing, but can easily be removed if needed, such as water bottle cage bolts. The thread locker is compatible with steel, aluminum, and carbon fiber and is oil tolerant. Park Tool doesn't recommend using it for titanium threads as galvanic corrosion may occur and recommends anti-seize instead.Notice: Park Tool recommends using AP-1 Adhesive Primer to prep all components, fasteners, and carbon fiber surfaces prior to application of Park Tool threadlockers or retaining compound. Failure to do so could result in permanently bonded parts.
