By allowing it to float separately from the center carrier the rotor can expand and shrink at will without stressing the carrier, preventing permanent deformation. The rotors come in five anodized color options, making them the perfect complement to your Hope brakes. Hope says they can be used with other brake brands, but you must check the clearance with your caliper once everything is installed, as the rivets sit about 1mm above the braking surface and you don't want them contacting your brake pads.
