Like all Shoreline Marine products the bilge pump and float switch are designed tough to stand up to the harsh marine environment. The impeller shaft is stainless steel, the wires on both the pump and switch are tinned marine grade, the housings are sealed, they are easy to inspect and keep clean and free of debris. The outlet hose barb is for use with a common bilge hose and through-hull fitting. It can be wired to just the automatic float switch. Or, you can use an optional 3-way switch to provide manual/off/auto switching modes.
